For us, sustainability is not a trend, it is a tradition.

At Volta View Farms, responsible farming guides everything we do. Our commitment to environmental care, animal welfare, and community development shapes both our daily operations and long-term vision.

Environmental Care

We take a practical and responsible approach to managing natural resources. The farm operates using a drilled underground borehole connected to a 30,000-litre Rambo polytank, ensuring a reliable supply of clean water for drinking, cleaning, and overall operations. This system reduces pressure on municipal water sources and supports efficient water use across the farm.

We also integrate eco-friendly practices such as waste recycling, water-efficient cleaning methods, and the use of solar energy to reduce carbon emissions and reliance on the national grid.

Animal Welfare

Healthy hens are at the centre of our work. We maintain clean, well-ventilated housing, balanced feeding systems, and strict biosecurity protocols to ensure the comfort and safety of our layers. Our humane rearing practices support both animal well-being and consistent egg quality.

Community Responsibility

At Volta View Farms, we believe sustainable farming means caring for the people and the environment that support our work. Our farm currently employs 11 dedicated staff members from nearby communities, providing stable jobs and contributing to local livelihoods. We are also integrating climate-smart practices into our operations, such as converting poultry manure into organic fertiliser to improve soil health and minimise waste.

By investing in both people and the land, we aim to operate responsibly and ensure that our growth benefits the wider community as well as our customers.
