Mr. Marcus Makafui Agbanyo is an accomplished agribusiness leader and agricultural quality specialist with over a decade of experience in the poultry and livestock industry. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Volta View Farms Ltd, a growing agribusiness enterprise based in Wuyanu near Ho in Ghana’s Volta Region, focused on large-scale egg production and sustainable poultry farming.
Career And Experience
Mr. Marcus M. Agbanyo began his professional journey across diverse sectors, gaining valuable international exposure that shaped his leadership approach. After relocating to the United States in 2011, he served in the United States Army from 2012 to 2016. In 2017, he joined the United States Department of Agriculture, working within the Quality Assessment Division of the Agricultural Marketing Service. Over the years, he developed strong expertise in poultry and livestock quality assurance, food safety standards, and agricultural supply chain management across the Pennsylvania and New Jersey regions. Drawing on this experience, he founded Volta View Farms Ltd to support Ghana’s food security goals through modern, technology-driven poultry production. Under his leadership, the farm is expanding with a long-term vision of housing over one million commercial layers, positioning the company as a significant contributor to West Africa’s agricultural sector.
Education
Marcus completed his secondary education at Mawuli Secondary School in Ho, graduating in 2002. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Ghana in 2008 and later obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in the United States, strengthening his expertise in governance, strategic management, and organisational leadership. Beyond his professional achievements, Marcus is deeply passionate about agricultural innovation, youth empowerment, and sustainable food systems. He continues to combine global best practices with local agricultural potential to create long-term impact within Ghana’s agribusiness sector.
